And thanks to this thread I've got a new catch phrase for DH. When I say "I'm heading over to the thrift" he always says, "What are you going to do there?" and I say, "I'm going to poke around." It's a little routine we have. What are you going to do there? I'm going to poke around.

Next time I'm going to answer, "I'm going to look for an objet de vertue."

I think the little heart locket is readable to you, and I think it says KH-08 and 825 under that, with a Copyright mark encircled.....could NOT read or improve whatever is faintly stamped below that.....

Maybe 835? Or 925?
825 would be unusual.

 

If it's KH, it's Kit Heath. 08 is the year. Nice find.

TOTALLY agree.....those numbers ARE VERY hard to read no matter how I tried to clarify them!!! I'd take YOUR word for them over MINE in a heartbeat!!!!

Thank you, I can just see with a loupe. It does say KH and 925. I was having a little look around yesterday but couldn't find anything about it. Did find a designer called Kathrin Hardie but don't think it's her xxxx

 

I actually tried it on her quickly, but one of the bigger headed Sindys' and I thought it was miles too small. It was actually AJ's idea and it fits much better than I had thought! xxx

No it's not a tile, it's paint on the wooden lid. I've very gently cleaned it now and it's lovely now, even prettier x

 

... to be fair, Mrs. B and AJ and @kyratango , sorry I also meant Kyra :O ( HOW COULD I DO THAT :O ) told me what it was, whilst I did know what objet de vertu is I wouldn't have ever thought to call this one. AND I still cannot spell it xxx
