This was in a pile of jewelry I bought...it worked out to be 25 cents....this sparkles like crazy, CZ, marked 14k. Maybe a Bella Luce type piece.

My favorite find was $10, big expenditure of the day. I debated....long lead crystal and black glass bead strung on wire. I didn't notice the 14k clasp until I got home. Sparkles like crazy, can't capture it.

Thank you. Got up at 5 am. I have events the next two weekends, and more in June.

Yes, true. I liked that you saw it in a piece of jewelry.

You definitely outdid me. I went to a love146.org charity fundraiser tag sale at my sister's old church. No gold to be seen except one bitty earring left in a box by itself. Bagged that. Got there early and found a Venetian/Murano pendant in a box and what's likely a Murano glass mini egg. Whiting and Davis cuff. They had most of the jewelry priced and I was at the table as they put it out. Found...price tags. They had sterling priced over melt and I hope someone eventually bought it. Someone did find the box of random costume I looked at and left where I found it. Nothing exciting. The best find is a Japanese damascene bracelet and brooch in their original signed box. In a bag off at the back of the sale was another jewelry bag. Found some bits in there that weren't priced. Some went into my bag and some onto the jewelry table. Brought Mom home a jigsaw for a dollar. I'll break even, but I think they cherry-picked, because this church has money.

DSCF8057.JPG DSCF8058.JPG DSCF8059.JPG One for @Bookahtoo - found these about a week ago. There was a tag sale with signs up but no ads on CL or elsewhere. Said Antiques. They had jewelry too but had prices out of my range on everything. Found this box of postcards for $15. There were 70 plus a few meant for envelopes I think, and a really old Christmas gift tag. One in a sleeve(!) has a zip code in the manufacturing info but the rest are pre-WWII or so it seems. The two fold-outs are later; one's dated 1969. I only wish they hadn't bent the brochure from Oregon. I love those Florida Christmas cards!

I love old postcards. I decorate packages I send to my friend with them, but they are enclosed in the plastic sleeves.

Yeah, we only see the great things we find, not all the times we go out, spend time and money, and come home empty-handed. You just have to have fun and say "oh well, I tried." I missed an older lady selling her mother's jewelry later in the day. The only piece I liked was an old jadeite? carved piece, I already have one. The woman sold a ton cheap, total $22, and the purchaser only had a $50 (duh, you are going yard saleing, bring small bills.) She walked off with the jewelry and did come back with change. I never saw the buyer before.

I had a $50 in my wallet this weekend, but spent $45 in one shot. Had some smaller bills too. I often drive to five different thrifts on Tuesdays and come back with $5 in stuff. It cost an easy $5 in gas to get it. Maybe more. The local Ill Will sends anything worth buying (barring accidents; I buy the accidents) to online auction. All I find there most weeks is a bathroom!

Scrapbookers use them, crafters use them....you might want to sort by catergories/holidays ...check online listing. The price you paid was too good to pass up. Maybe the antique dealers you visit would be interested. Even at a low $1 a piece on your resale, you make money!
