It could have been for khol, but the stick should be thinner.

A lovely little tidbit. It looks like it has been tested prior on the collar, granted, those could be touch marks, hard to tell from the photo. Certainly, worth giving it another go

.....personally......

the etching is done with a sharp V edge tool.
it goes over the outline, where there even is outline..
the symmetry is lacking
it looks slap dash, and hurried
not by any talented craftsperson.....such as yourself !

I find it so poorly executed that if it took the engraver more than 5 minutes....he was wasting time ...

IMHO........

and you do such fine work on such lovely items, painstakingly , methodically .....

so.......... that's why........love ??????
