IMG-20220426-WA0021.jpg These keys appeared out of nowhere in my niece's house. Odd things happen in that house all the time, we are clueless as we have no idea where they came from or the story behind them. I googled the brand, LAPS (or LARS?) and nothing comes up. We would love to know what year or decade are they from and more info on the brand, if any. Thanks so much for your help!

Do those brass skeleton keys fit any of the doors in your house? I've never seen anything like the second set of keys with all the little holes in them before. I hope someone knows what those are made for.

Wow, I can't believe you were able to find the brand! Is there any way of knowing what year or decade they belong to?

Sorry I don't know when they were made. I saw this picture in a recent travel blog so they are still in use there now.

When I was a teen in Florida, I worked at a bank and did safe deposit box work. I recall that some of our boxes used those double-sided keys. I do not recall them looking that old or fancy though. I think there were some other special boxes that required those with the little holes in them. If you lost one of those it cost a fortune in the forty's to get the boxes opened and required a whole new lock.
