Noritake Plate, Can't find any other examples

This is a striking Noritake plate which I bought years ago. Now I would like to sell it but I can't find any other examples online, and I can't find out when it was made. This is a bit surprising given that it has a backstamp which gives a name - Essence in Blue - and a number, 1631P. I can't even find this specific, obviously modern backstamp. I'm probably not looking in the right places, but I've tried Replacements, general google searches etc. The backstamp is underglaze and very blurry, I can't get a better photo.
The plate is about 10 inches in diameter, with a border of deep cobalt blue and pine branches. I am hoping that a Noritake enthusiast can quickly identify it for me, particularly its date. At the moment I'm thinking it is about 1980's.

Thank you for this! I had actually already looked at this website, but looked again, and at least found out that the little circle Registered mark was used from 1954 onwards. The website only gives marks up to the 1990's, so maybe the plate is later than that, almost new when I bought it. An oddity is that it has no country of origin. If I can't find anything else out I might submit my backstamp to the website for more information, but it's such a fuzzy mark I'm reluctant to do that.

Noritake Essence (2606) was produced from 1976 to 1984. The platinum trim on this pattern means it is not safe for use in the microwave. If you need replacement or additional pieces for your Noritake Essence collection, monitor this page on a weekly basis for new listings.

However the backmark is all wrong!! The pattern is definetly different, This specific floral design is unique to all these Noritake Essence so it is not your plate, but thought it best mentioned.

Thanks for this link. I had found this pattern on Replacements, and I'm still baffled by the resemblance in name but a completely different pattern for "Essence in Blue", especially since the "Essence" pattern is blue itself! But your above link to the microwave infol is very useful; I had a look at the edge of the rim, and noticed for the first time that the rim on my plate has a vertical line of platinum invisible from above. This is another baffling feature, adding I imagine a fair bit to the cost but virtually nothing to the attractiveness of the plate, just a shiny but luxurious outer edge. Unfortunately it detracts from the usefulness, but now I know I should add it to any description if I sell the plate. It does hint at a date earlier than the widespread use of microwaves, though. The original "Essence" was discontinued in 1984, which was about the time that home microwaves were becoming very common.
Thanks very much for your imput! I think I may have to put the plate on sale without any further into on its backstamp or date, but hopefully there is someone out there who has a set of this already and would like to replace a plate. It must be rare, so hopefully desirable!

 

Someone will recognise it. It might be also a later backmark a the site we linked only goes inot the 1990's. I did not realise how global Noritake are, they have had factories all over the world.

 

An internet search for Noritake 1631P turns up two listings in Japan. One ended June 29, 2018, so that link is dead.
This link is still alive, maybe someone can read the description. It might hold some important clues but it's in Japanese and I can't read it.

Wow, thank you Laura for all your work! But the mystery deepens! Although it has the exact same name and pattern number, the pattern on the cup and saucer is of sycamore leaves and seeds, while mine is of pine needles and cones. Perhaps Essence in Blue was a set of co-ordinating botanical patterns rather than just one pattern. And, as Francisco pointed out, if it is only on sale in Japan, why the backstamp in English? Although if it was made for the home market rather than export, that would explain why there is no country of origin. If only two listings turned up for the last four years, then it seems to be a rare pattern (or set of patterns) in Japan as well. I've just tried to access the Japanese auction websites and found two other listings, on Mercari, both of the sycamore pattern. I think I need to hang onto this plate for a while, until I can contact a collectors' club and learn more about it. It's obviously not worth a fortune, but I hate selling something before I know all about it!
