Thanks! They turned out great. My polishing wheel in the garage works for jewelry and sugar bowls!

HA! After DH accidentally sent a Ster. Sil. picture frame flying across the garage using a buffing wheel, he gets nary another chance....sunshine cloths or polishing cream for him.....they couldn't get the dents out of the frame!!!:(:(:(

    OMG, yes this can happen!
I now employ a death grip on anything I am polishing. I have flung half polished rings all over the garage in the past!

I went to a church-antique-craft show yesterday. More about that later. Below are some thrift shop finds, it was too rainy for the flea market yesterday.
    Rice pearls, $5.

These pink freshwater pearls were on the dollar table. The strands fall beautifully when worn, a keeper.

Religious items, St. Anne appears to be gold-plated, the marcasite piece is sterling, missing a marcasite, 50 cents each

The woman who tells thrifts to sell to dealers got to one of my favorite thrifts....all modern junk now, but I did get this for $3. Marked Cameo, if grumpy cat was furry....I couldn't stop laughing.

Another thrift shop raised their prices and almost all earrings start at $5 now.

Now to the church sale story. I got up late and wasn't even going to go, but hubby is watching The Masters, so out I went. Hardly any jewelry.. .it was after 10 a.m. when I got there, and one woman was still tagging items. She had jewelry out, a few pieces, and I asked her if she had any more. She said yes, she wouldn't take it out, so I moved on. I got this sterling piece, citrine, for $15, needs a clasp. 20220410_120431.jpg
Then I found a young woman who I had seen at another local show. She usually sells costume and sterling, but she had a case of fine jewelry. She said it was her mother's and grandmother's. A dealer got there a few minutes before me...she said she is out of the business, but buys for herself. It looked like she had some ivory pieces in gold, and a 14k Asian style dragon pendant with nephrite jade and coral, not my style. She paid $450 for that, and her total was over $1,000, not things I would have purchased, no loss. I got this ivory ring for $5. 20220410_121237.jpg
Missing some of the 14k threads, no biggies to me. I didn't see anything I liked until I spied these. The woman said they were garnets, I knew they weren't, but wasn't sure what the stones were. 18k, Italy, black hematite, yeah, I spent money $175, she wouldn't budge on the price, but I absolutely love them.

Any guesses on age on these earrings?

Those black earrings look exactly like a pair my mom got from her grandmother . I think she said they were from the 30s,but dont quote me on that.

I did Google when leverbacks were first made, and I was surprised to learn the 1880s. Mourning jewelry, perhaps?

It was in the bottom of a box of three for a quid stuff. I love those!

If perfect, it would be easily three figures, but it's still a nice thing.
