I haven't posted anything in a while, it's got harder to find things, I've just finished this one though
Everything was missing, it had been completely stripped out .......
    So .......

    Inside ...
Replaced leather around the inside lid and dyed it...
Replaced missing sections and papered and painted them ...
    Made pin cushions ...
Covered replacement thimble holders and lid with Georgian leather ......
The silk Georgian picture is from another box and was never original to it, it's perfect for this box...
Relined the drawer and painted the paper ...
    Outside .......
The side handles had lost their brass rings, I eventually found some .....
The drawer had no handle, I had one .....
I dyed the leather as seen ....
I think that covers it, though there were lots of little things that needed doing, now hidden :)

Thank you everyone, I'm glad you all like it :)

The wood for the sections came out of Victorian sewing box that was past it's best, they needed cutting down to fit.
I set hubby on for that part :)

I think of the joy of the original owner, when presented with this pretty utilitarian piece. So well loved and used.

Amazing workmanship!!! You are sooooo talented. I'm curious how many hours you put into this project and whether you plan to sell or keep it. I sometimes put many hours into restoring vintage clothing that I know won't sell for enough to cover all my hours (even if charged at only $2-$3 per hour), but I enjoy the restoration process and knowing that a quality garment will survive for someone else to wear and enjoy.

I keep them, I'm mad about that era, I'm struggling for places to put them but it makes no difference :)

    Thank you :)
I haven't calculated how many hours but I think that was about 10 days, not constant though, a couple of hours a day, maybe more sometimes depending which bit I'm doing, sometimes going back to it to do a bit more.
I keep them all, I love them, they're all a labour of love :)
