    Can you still get ribbons?

A quick google search seems to show that there are several places selling them. Cool! It has a dried out ribbon on it now - all the keys and functions seem to work as far as I can tell.

I got these pieces at one of the last auctions of the year a few weeks ago, but just now had a chance to get some photos done. The estate that this stuff came from obviously had a Swedish connection.

    1) This is a keeper, but before you get too excited it is gold plated. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it that night & paid less than $25.00.

    2) This Dala horse is simply marked Sweden & the others I found are made from pewter.

    3) I purchased a large set of Towle Aristocrat gold plated flatware & was surprised to find these little cuties hiding in plain sight with the gift box from what I assume is a jewelry store. I love the little figural crowns!! :smug::smug::smug:

    Thanks Susan!! :kiss::kiss:

The forks have a slightly different mark but I could not get a good enough photo of it. The D & G are surrounded by an S. I don't know if that means they are earlier or later than the spoon or just a different mark.:confused::confused:

Good question, to which I do not have an answer. But Cheryl might. @DragonflyWink

Found these two Chuck Gruen greeting cards in sweet little frames for a total of $5.50 -- I'm pretty sure a family member will love them both and if not? $5.50 :p

Johnny - WGC is the acronym for the World Golf Championship. If you google WGC Bridgestone Invitational you'll see that it's an annual event. The decor on the lid looks like the "rough." :hilarious:

I am assuming you are trying to get the inside clean. Try using regular isopopryl alcohol. You may have to let it sit for some time. You can occasionally pick it up & swish it around. I sometimes add some buckshot to really stubborn ones.

I got the little container of them probably 15 or 16 years ago on eBay. This seller was selling some type of crystals that you mixed with water & it was suppose to help with "sick glass" when you swished it around with the buckshot. I was not impressed with the results, but I started using the buckshot with the alcohol to clean the bottles & that worked well.

I actually did not know which one it was so I stuck a magnet in the container & since the pellets were not attracted to the magnet I assumed they were lead. I have used them many times over the years. When I am done with them I rinse them off & spread them out on a paper towel to dry.

I have no idea if they are banned here or not. I do know my DS has to buy "special" more expensive bullets when he goes duck hunting because if the DNR catches you using anything with lead you get fined.

Lead shot can leave a trace on the glass like a lead(graphite) pencil.

Steel shot is harder and has a coarser surface. You can scrub a specific corner with a strong magnet on the outside. But it can rust if left too long.

Not able to dig into my notes and references on Danish marks at the moment, but if your other mark is a 'DGS' monogram similar to the one below (there are variants), then it would be Danske Guldsmedes Sølvvarefabrik, if memory serves, they changed their name to Dansk Krone Solv. Not unusual for Scandinavian manufacturers to produce the same patterns - this one is 'Dansk Krone' (Danish Crown), have seen it by various makers and it represents the Danish Royal Crown: http://kongehuset.dk/en/historical-collections/the-crown-of-christian-v

Edit: Lauritz shows your first mark as belonging to Danske Guldsmedes Sølvvarefabrik, the close up of the knife on this link showing your 'DG' mark on the handle and a variant with an 'S' on the blade: https://www.lauritz.com/da/auktion/...arefabrik-freja-bestik-af-soelv-66/i2156189/#

Sorry, that's all I have at the moment...

Hi Bakers,I had figured that out but while Ive found other trophies etc from that in Wedgwood,I havent found THIS exact piece. Since its a limited edition of 120 Im wondering if it was given to participants or just special guests?
