Hello everyone! I've finally decided to clean out some of my storage rooms. I've had these kicking around in one room or another for years and figured if anyone would know what these are it would be y'all. They are made of clay or mud. The one that still has his bottom teeth is about 3" tall and his friend is about 4" tall. The 3" one has lost his top teeth. The 4" one only ever had bottom teeth which are missing. This figure has a hole in the top. I'm sure I didn't buy them deliberately - I think they came in a box lot. Are they just a class project or is there a culture known for this type of art work? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!
    Don

The one on the right reminds me of the Mudmen of Goroka, Papua New Guinea, but it probably has nothing to do with them at all.:(

Neither can I, I thought they must have been in a box with more 'Don-appropriate' beauties.:)
Don-appropriate or not, they deserve a name.
(This is where everyone comes up with names of their least favourite uncles, etc.:bag:)

Oh, I have plenty of "what were you thinking moments"! :banghead: I had no idea what other things might have been in the lot. I'm sure they blended in with one of my collections or were sold off long ago.:)

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly! I'll need help, though. I'm not very good with names. We have decided to name all our future dogs, "Dog" since we can't remember their names anymore. Our current dog is very confused since he's been called at least six different names since we got him! :hilarious::)

Can you tell what type of shell is used?

I'm not 100% sure they are shells. Looking closely at them they might be seeds.

They look like a class attempt to make face jugs.
