Featured Wood Statue

    I know it's been a while since I've been online. Lately, I've been interested in old architectural salvage and wood carvings. The statue is 32 inches tall and 14 pounds. It's missing an arm, and something about the face carvings (and the very dark patina) made me think it might be on the older side. I'd love your thoughts.

    Knowing how rickety that masonic sword is, I'd probably impale myself :smuggrin:

    That's what I was thinking too, by the color of the wood. Looks like black forest wood.

    Could it be bog oak? Looks dark enough.
