Featured Amethyst Stick Pin Hallmark 8-N 14K Gold

Any suggestions as to the meaning of the 8-N please? Could be S-N? Or B-N?
Can I know from this mark that it’s solid 14k or plated?
Also does the mark date it at all as there is no assay or date mark?

Maybe it says Vinings if you look in the other direction?

You're probably going to have to just test this for 14K if you can't make it out. Check for 10K as well.

Yep, I’ll test it, I’m never 100% convinced of my testing though as I refuse to file lovely things!
