The woman looking over her shoulder and the seated reader both fascinate me in particular, but what a cool group of eye candy!

The woman looking over her shoulder is from artist Agatha Walker she’s a Wax over plaster depiction of an actress in a play called the beggar’s opera

Interesting mix of cool and odd stuff. And I see nothing even bordering on out-of-control!

I have a pair of spectacles similar to yours. I've dated them to 1920s, do you agree that's the right time period?

Aka quilt bait at some point, if you can find a quilter willing to take on the task. About all they're good for now unless they're pre-1960.

What are they good for if they’re pre 1960?

Oh, one can also easily make a very cool skirt or cape out of them. A friend lined an opera cape with silk ties, quite lovely.

Then they're desirable as vintage clothing. The goths, punks, hipsters etc wear them sometimes. Clothing lining works for me too. Sure beats them being landfill. (unless they're those nasty polyester wide things.... and those don't even rot!)
