I used to think they were ordinary Chinese enamel. I kept the kitty because the face is so goofy and... Kitty!

 

I had good luck this weekend! Four pieces I like, including a larger Shipibo Amazonian indigenous pot on the right, two Pueblo pieces in the middle and an angel from Oaxaca.



The best one is the black one, signed "Lorencita," but I've not been able to figure out who that is yet.

Not a new find, in fact, I think I bought it around '76, the date of the pending patent, but I just got around to photographing it. About 4 1/2" high.

Got this pair of cool vintage leather gauntlet motorcycle gloves at the charity shop for the equivalent of less than $2. Gloves has nice character..

 

Score! I went to a charity thrift and an antique store today and found a way to spend money on gasoline.

 

Anyone have any information or a price check on this glass jar/bottle with a silver lid made by boots pure drug company in 1909?

I know the feeling,sadly that also happens!

 

Went out to pay ransom money to the gas station and stopped in the IllWill along the way. Spent money at the gas station.

 

Nice finds, everyone. I find I am weighing the cost of gas against the trips to treasure hunt. It just cost me $52 to put 13 gallons in my tank...right now, my flea market is dormant, no outdoor shows, no good estate sales near me. But....it's my hobby, and what I reward myself with after working all week.

 

I love the gator purse. I can't resist them. One of my biggest regrets was not buying one in an antique shop. It was oval, the top opened, and it just had four alligator feet around the bottom. It made me laugh every time I went in the store. Then it was gone.

 

I have said it many times before - you only regret the things that you did not buy.

 

Ha,I like your saying . I went back last week for something I should have bought the first time around.. But no luck!!

 

And the money you spent. And the $$$ the greedy gas companies siphoned out of my pocket.
