Small Thick Tile of Crowned Owl

Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this small tile. It's only 3 & 3/4" by 3 & 3/4" and it's 3/4" thick.

One of those fun things with collecting happened in regards to this. The day I shipped the 18th Century French faience figurative tiles that Antiquers helped me identify, I found this at a shop at a good price.

 

Is there some kind of label in the back (3rd photo)? If yes, what does it say?

 

No, its just felt. There is a hole for hanging on the wall.

 

I doubt this one is very old.

 

Would old tiles often be marked? The other ones I had were not.

 

Just curious if people think that might be a falcon, and not an owl.

 

Falcon or a small hawk of some kind. Not an owl.

 

The crowned falcon was Anne Boylen, one of King Henry the Eighths wives, family heraldic emblem.

I think that's not terribly old too. A little decorative tile.

I'm wondering what points you look for to see age in tiles.

The older pair had little pock marks in them as you can see on these.
