Featured Cute lizard brooch

Looking for age confirmation I think he's Art Deco sort of age? and is there a name for the way the silver has been worked on this please? The eyes test as rubies. I've had him a few years, he's sneaky and has avoided being listed until now He may stay with me permanently I'm not sure yet lol

 

He's set with marcasites. I'd agree on 20s or 30s.

@crazycatlady not marcassites, it seems they are tiny round silver "pearls", integrated to the work, to give the effect

No, marcasites very often are faceted! Sweet piece, I can see why you may keep this sneaky guy

 

I can't decide now if its silver beads or marcasites. Do they look set?

 

They don't look set to me but sadly my loupe has gone AWOL, have ordered another one so I will probably find it when the new one arrives I took some more photos which might help

 

This is lovely!. I’ve recently spent a bit of time looking at these online to try to identify a base metal one that I have. Yours is WAY nicer than any I have seen.

 

I love it, won on ebay a few years ago for about £4 or so. I have been toying with the idea of listing it but don't think I can part with it....

 

I love it! Can't help much with the age, except definitely 20th century. That narrows it down to 100 years.
