The 70s/80s ones mostly seem to be threaded on nylon, I wondered if this is a bit older? Sorting through the stuff I've bought to resell and then kept :) thumbnail_IMG_20220220_122631.jpg thumbnail_IMG_20220220_122644.jpg thumbnail_IMG_20220220_122640.jpg

What is this resell word? I know it not.

    I'd think 60s.

Spot on! I’ve even managed to hoodwink my OH that’s what I do and he is *nearly* encouraging me now :smug: I’ve sold a few pieces that I picked up very cheaply and have made a fair profit on but he doesn’t know half of what I buy:shifty::hilarious:

To be fair I do list quite a lot of what I buy, I might wear it for a while then decide it's time for it to move on. Other pieces don't get that far as I just can't part with them. I'm trying to be more ruthless. There's no rhyme or reason to the things I will be drawn to keep, it's an eclectic mix :)

I’m completely with you on this, except I very rarely wear any of it. Some I like until I’ve researched and it’s given up all its secrets then I list it and move it on. Some pieces I buy just because I know they will sell. Others I buy and will never part with.
This pendant is a case in point. Clio the Muse of History, decent size silver pendant/fob c2” tall and I love it!

My mother always told me that men in general & husbands, in particular, are strictly a need to know species. There is no reason to worry their pretty little heads about the details as long as you are in control of the details. ;):p:rolleyes::smug::smug::smug::smug::smug: :hilarious::hilarious:

She was a stay-at-home mom (how could she not be with 9 kids :rolleyes::facepalm:) until she got me in kindergarten & she got herself a paying job. She worked in the bakery of a large department store that had a lunch counter, a large cafeteria & a bakery where you could buy freshly made baked goods. She decided one day to get rid of the Jewel Tea dishes in the china cabinet & buy herself a set of real china. She bought a set that was white with delicate little blue flowers & a platinum rim. She emptied the china cabinet & replaced the Jewel Tea with the new dishes when my father wasn't around because he didn't need to be involved because she had handled all the details. :p:D:D

Now he had to walk past that china cabinet multiple times a day as the only bathroom in the house was off the dining room & he had to pass through the dining room on the way to the kitchen. It literally took him weeks before he noticed the difference.:rolleyes::rolleyes::hilarious:

komokwa The Truth is out there...!

that was back then.....and only 4 men who don't pay attention to their surroundings..

When the 1st wife and I were separated, she came over to my new place....and commented on all the expensive new stereo equipment I'd recently bought....( as if the money should all go to my kid.....who was indeed being well looked after ...as my cheques would prove ..) ...so I pulled out a polaroid of our TV room....and there was the sound system.....which she had sat next to......for years...!!!

Working women of the late 80's......can be just the same as the men your Mom was talking about !!!:meh:,,;)

My dad wouldn't have noticed the china until there was food on it! Me, I notice if a piece of bubble wrap isn't where I put it.

Big guess but I’m pretty sure it’s Mexican. I had two of them-one similar and one in all amethyst that my mother bought in Acapulco-she lived there in the winters in the 50s and 60s.
