I picked up this necklace a few days ago. The beads are warm to the touch, with a slightly tackier feel than plastic. Some have small elongated air bubbles below the surface, although not an excessive amount. They're strung on a leather string with brass fastenings.

Any idea on what they might be made of? I assume that they're not actual amber, judging by the brass fastenings? They're rather large as well.

Still wish it was amber, but I got it at plastic price, so I don't mind, heh. It's a cool necklace, and that's fascinating to know how it was made.
