The clear perfume might be RCR.

This turned up in a cabinet yesterday. Mom found it in what I thought was printer paper. Oops. Started another thread last night to figure out what the siggie says. (probably Made in China thousands of years ago, i.e. about a year before I bought it.)

Most of the Wedgewood ones seem to have different wings, but one was similar - cased glass with a clear upturned head and attached feet. Hard to tell once the label is gone, where something unsigned came from. He is fun and fat with nicely defined colors. Took some work and the bottom is nicely ground, so it could be a better source.

The penguin definitely isn't Wedgwood Glass. I have way too many Wedgwood birds and animals. Including penguins!

There is no such thing as too many penguins - keeps 'em off the Endangered Species list. (glass ones can't hurt, right?) I picked up some royal blue Depression glass today, a sugar and creamer, and the seller asked me "what are you going to do with THOSE." Uhmmm, sugar and cream? (LOL) I'll have to get some pictures up of today's scores.

I bought some jewelry lots at the auction this week, This stickpin was in one of the lots. I think it's gold but need to test it. The stone is moonstone with a tiny face.

Those moonface stick pins are often Georgian. It was a Thing.

I've found quite a few in my searches. But most are mounted at the base of the claw. I have found only a few mounted to the stickpin from the back.

Hello Brad. My grandfather Oscar Emil Munkvold painted this. Seems sad to me that it ends up at a thrift store. He was my mothers father who lived in Yankton, So. Dakota and Sioux Falls. I have created a bio for him in findagrave.com if your interested. I would love a better photo if you have one to share with my siblings. What a treat to see this! Thanks Nancy

Hello @nancyselliott & welcome to the forum!!:happy:

Could you give us a hint as to what page of this thread the painting is on so that we can all see your grandfather's artwork? :)

I am assuming you are referring to the member @verybrad but I am not sure. I will tag him just in case.

It is very easy to tag someone here. All you do is put the @ symbol directly in front of their user ID with no space in between. They will get an alert at the top right-hand side of the page that someone has tagged them & what thread the tag is in.

I don't remember the painting at all, so we all need some breadcrumbs.

Needed some breadcrumbs today to find something "good" and didn't have any. OTOH here's the haul from Thursday. The earrings are a mix of sterling and gold. The green glass vase is enameled - 1890s? The raspberries are orange. I don't know the pattern for the cobalt Depression Glass, but I paid about $3 for the pair.
The bracelet is 1920s or 30s Deco rhinestone. I forget who the maker was but I couldn't hustle it out of the store fast enough! It came with the amber and Depression glass for $10 total. The plates are out of my wheelhouse, and alas not a complete set. Swedish porcelain of all things. Seven cups and 7 plates, a dish for chocolates or whatever, and the creamer and sugar. I guess you used your silver pot with these.

That's them all right! I bought them for the cobalt color. Paid about the right price for them too.
