this was another interesting eggcup i found recently

think this one is an eggcup because an egg fits perfectly

it was the base that got me interested the most as it seems to show genuine age and crazing

would be interested to know if it speaks of a certain age/period or style ?

i think most probably a hobbyist peice, but unsure

    quite cool though

    any thought appreciated

    I'd have thought 20s into 30s.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

SO CUTE!!!! Even tho our egg cups didn't look like that, makes me think about Mom cutting the tops off our eggs, then cutting our toast into skinny slices so we could dip our toast into the runny egg in the egg cups.......YUMMMMMM!!!

I'd never have thought it that recent. Maybe a peroxide soak!

Yeah I agreez, they look the same but totally different

The ones that sis found look a bit new and naff, but they have to be the same, no denying

I always thought natural crazing took about 100 years

Crazing is not age dependent. I pulled this definition from a page I found on Google:

Glaze crazing or glaze crackle is a network of lines or cracks in the fired glazed surface. It happens when a glaze is under tension. A craze pattern can develop immediately after removal from the kiln or years later.
