thought it would be cool to show you some of the drawings my niece and nephew made today

i always try to get them to draw me something as i love child art drawings

they dont even think about it, they just draw

you can tell the difference in subject by each

they look a bit strange as they are photographs of my mobile phone, but you get the idea

    how about that dragon !!!

Charlie, it's amazing the native creativity children have, isn't it? I would only comment that... Their inspiration seems to be solely popular cultural and, as a doting uncle, you might want to introduce some other influences into their lives.

Yeah I love how confident they draw, not worrying about size or perspective, tongues out and to the size, total concentration.

I think they must watch alot of Disney and marvel when they are at home :)

Yes, good for their ages. Beyond stick figures. Full facial features, fingers & toes. But... Are you discouraging their screen time when you're with them? Are you making sure they have access to well written, well illustrated books? Are you taking them to museums? Imagination needs to be nurtured -- to state the obvious -- and it should come from within not from the commercial vision of a studio animator.

Thanks Judy, seeing them once a week I can handle

They are an absolute pleasure.........sometimes :)

I find hide and seek the best one, as you get some breathing space
And the longer they are hidden, the better they think they have done !! Win win

They are so smart its more like they educate me sometimes

I got all excited about telling my niece that this is what you call a fossil

    She said " eh yeah, it's a ammonite" :)
