    Hi
This teapot is 20cm wide (ear to spout) and 16cm long.

the lid knob and the handle are decorated with white balls sticking out (sorry I don't know how to describe it better:shame:) and with golden lines.

sweet rose-colored teapot has golden ovals on both sides with a sweet image in it. I don't know whether it was hand painted or printed. see detailed photos.

Lahore is an ancient city from 11th century with great history
Lahore's reputation for beauty fascinated the English poet John Milton, who wrote "Agra and Lahore, the Seat of the Great Mughal" in 1670.[32].. says Wikipedia ;)

I think lahore is the decor name & J.g. or the m /n....is the makersmark

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

There are a few teapot images online that are said to be a "Lahore" pattern. And from different companies, too. They are all decorated differently. So it's possible that Lahore is a decor name on yours as well. It may also be a city name, I suppose.

I found this vases. The color gilding the lid and the painting shows some similarity. 20220211_213624_copy_1209x1209.jpg

The name is impressed in the body. I don't think it has to do with the decoration. Maybe the shape.

Is it hand painted or transfer printed?
Can we date the pot looking to the shape of the spout, or lid knob or color used or the way it is marked??

If you see dots, it's a transfer, and I see lots and lots of dots.

Impressed names like that, if not the factory, are usually the shape. The teapot shape is of a style influenced by the British Raj, but that scene is in Europe.

looking for information i came across the websie of gardiner museum and in the museum collection i found a few pieces where the decor names are carved on the back of the porcelain, but perhaps this was more of an exception than usual

Embellishing transfer with hand painting is also common.

On those other pieces, the difference is that it's a full description if that makes sense.

Yes youre right, they have a full description.

It does not look as a cheap mass produced teapot to mine eye and not a copy of someting else.
Any idea since when the pink color used and till when the potters used incized marks?

Impressed rather than incised. I've seen stuff as late as the 1930s with impressed shape marks. The fact that it's a shape made in quantity doesn't mean it was cheap.
