    There are a dragon and potentially a Buddhist figure included in the decoration. I imagine @Any Jewelry will have something to share about this piece.

    I think it is Chinese, and I agree Buddhist. The dragon is more of a griffin, a creature whose image and symbolism came to China from Central Asia through the Silk Road.
    It looks antique to me, guesstimate ca 1900.
    I only do aesthetic values, not monetary.
