Hi everyone! I found these old bullets in the creek behind my house several years ago. It was in rural Chester SC which was heavy on the civil war activity. I cant find much about them or any photos that look similar. I would love any information anyone has! Thanks! Compress_20220127_141138_8566.jpg Compress_20220127_141138_8283.jpg

Most likely a more modern "Wadcutter" type bullet.

Not civil war. I think they're modern blackpowder balls.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

They look more like the hollow points shown, and I was having trouble coming up with that name!!! Meant to go in and fragment or spread....cause more damage!!

so many techniques to make a bullet more damaging. we were taught in the army that it is strictly forbidden to cut off the tip and saw in a Swiss Cross... still wonder why they told us this at all...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Don't have to be round . Blackpowder terminology for lead projectiles, depending on size, without actual measuring and weighing, look like .50 caliber to me.
