Featured Delicate older sterling necklace stamped JHP

Do you think repaired with the mixing of gold and silver?

Found a similar piece searching "JHP": Title from a dead Ruby Lane listing with a necklace with the same stamp, no gold/silver mix:

Pretty sure the chain is sterling, but not marked. The only marking is "JHP" on the clasp.

I even wondered if the pendant original. Has the correct older look, but almost seems like "stamped" metal.

And also wondering if that little connector might be gold. I need to get a new testing kit.

General thoughts?

 

Without the pendant having a maker's mark there is no way of telling when it was made.Being "stamped" means nothing,the vast majority of jewelry made from around 1900-1950's was die stamped.Hard to tell from the photos but your piece looks cast and made from a built up die stamped piece.

 

This is called a lavalliere/lavaliere , the chain is fixed to the "pendant"
The connector could be original, the yellow color contrasting to add interest.
But... I highly suspect the piece is chrome plated on base metal.

Yep - and older than you'd think. That necklace could easily date to the 1920s/30s, when chromed out filigree was popular. The 20s pieces had more pierced work, but I can see this being 30s easily.
