My husband thinks it's ugly but I don't agree with him. I'm considering buying it for $30. is worth it?

    Thanks in advance and greetings

If you like it to spend $30, then it's worth it to you to keep.

Is it without chips and cracks? Does the teapot have its cover?

Hi @judy .The teapot has a cover and its not damaged. I'll probably use it myself for a while and since mine husband doesn't like it, chanches are i'll have to sell it soon:(

Its reminds me somehow the clarice cliff artdeco pieces but it doesn't look have the same quality.

I secretly hope that the pictures didnt turn out and the set is really beautifull:happy: 20220105_142400_copy_1209x1159.jpg

I've no idea who made the set but, with that spout shape, it looks more like a hot water pot than a teapot.
Also, what makes this set Art Deco?

The seller said it was used by her grand mother back in the 20-30's. And the color use and the decoration somehove remains me clarice cliff. Thats why i thougt its art deco

The Art Deco pieces by Clarice Cliff have a "Moderne" angular/geometric appearance. Not all of her stuff is considered Art Deco.

I'm no expert in Art Deco, however. But I just personally wasn't seeing AD in the set you posted.

I did find this set I think is the same mold with different decoration. Said to be Ditmar Urbach but I didn't follow the link all the way through. (didn't accept cookies I couldn't read)

I'd call that Art Deco and the teapot spout shape is often seen on sets here.

The Urbach clue to me was the sort of mottled look and the colours. You see it on their so called alien ware. I'd agree on that mark matching, it rang a bell.

    Thanks @Ownedbybear @say_it_slowly
without your help I could never have found out who made this set. you are fantastic

I think the set that say_it_slowly has found is more beautiful and attractive than this one, so I let this go
