Featured Searching for fake tablecloth table!

Hey!
I’m hoping someone could help me, I recently stayed in an Airbnb and fell in love with one of there tables. I’ve been hunting high and low for one but literally don’t know what they are called. It looked old, and it looked like a tablecloth was draped over which was green with gold detail- upon inspection it was actually solid- like an illusion. I have typed in so many random things into Google to try and find anything similar but it’s been impossible for me. Unfortunately I don’t have a great picture as I thought my husband took one so just screenshot and zoomed in from Airbnb! So please help me! The hunt of the fake tablecloth table has begun!

If you use the term "trompe l'oeil" you can find some.

I'd contact the owner, could be she put it in the rental 'cos she didn't want it in her home and would be willing to part with it

 

I received a message back from the Airbnb lady and she said her dad had them made copying an antique Italian design but she’s going to try and find out more. Her dad died last year so not sure if she would part with him. Thank you all for you help- used those terms and can’t find anything that is that similar or what I would want in my home- so thinks it’s a bit of a one off!

Yes, and so early in the year! I've neither heard of this type of table before, nor have I ever seen one. Can't wait to show my friends. They are really unique.

the versions found all seem to be wood, apart from the Brauer ( and many copied versions of ..)

 

if Hattie could tell us what the "cloth" was made of ? resin ? metal ? etc etc
