In art terms, it would be considered a "readymade" like Duchamp's 'Fountain.' And, yes. Luckily it hasn't become separated from its original box.

Reminds me of the puzzle titled " Little red riding hood's cape" which is a solid red circle ....... that was completed once and never again......may yet still be lurking in my parent's game cabinet !

as my son once said at age two after pounding out a piece on the piano , all in sharps and flats , with spaces of silence every 5 to 8 notes, "DADA !!!!!".....

I should find the video and post it here ....it's really cute , and over the head of most who never had any art history class......

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Please update this discussion thread when you are finished. We like to see the results of restoration work! ;)

A good restorer might be able to minimize damage.

I think Kyra may be able to restore that vital piece!

Actually, I was wondering when that would happen.

I think a cat would have had more fun with it. :cat:

Yes. My cats would have stolen several pieces and hidden them by now. I put a Christmas present under the tree and the next morning one of the bows had been removed and beaten up during the night.

It would have been safe with one of the cats I used to have. She only hid gold rings.
I found her stash though, and she thought it very unfair that I took my rings back after so much hard work. I am sure all collectors here can understand the pain she felt.:arghh::cat:

How adorable. I'm sure she had great fun pushing them around, rolling them and flipping them. :):):):) Mean mommy took them away, and I bet hid them from her.

    She did.:sorry:
The cat was my Bindy, she loved to climb curtains and then cuddle me to death. I miss my cats.:(

She sounds like my Riley, so naughty but so sweet, she makes me cry. If I outlive Riley and Cosette, my plan is to take in elderly rescues. (Riley and Cosette are taken care of in my will, if I die first.)
