Bought at flea market today :) The stones have goldish coloured backing. thumbnail_IMG_20211218_134401.jpg thumbnail_IMG_20211218_134454.jpg thumbnail_IMG_20211218_134427.jpg

Lovely 'toi et moi' ring. I always love this model ring.
Toi et moi means you and I in French, these rings were popular as engagement ring ca 1900-1910ish.

Thank you, a bit earlier than I thought then. It is pretty and said 'buy me'.

Let's wait for the others, the time frame I gave is when they were popular as engagement ring, it is not a definite date for yours. I've noticed that fashion dates can be slightly different in the US sometimes.
I can imagine, they are clever that way.:playful: My toi et moi ring did exactly the same.

If I were guessing I'd say pre-WWI maybe into the early 1920s somewhere if it's American. I've never seen on exactly like that before, but the date sounds about right. The top part looks like it's sterling, a definite possibility. The stones could be glass, quartz or whatever else came handy that isn't a diamond.:greedy: (don't we wish!)

This says glass to me, rather than quartz or white topaz.

Thank you both, I am in the UK so it seems likely, but by no means definite, that the ring is from here. My guess was around 1910s so I'm pleased to have confirmation as I tend to doubt myself

I agree, they're warmish to the touch too.
