Silver? Belt from ... 20th century

this belt is about 1.25 m long. the connectors are made of metal. these pieces are magnetic but the rest are not magnetic. test items haven't been delivered yet so I haven't been able to test it on silver yet. I don't know where to look but I can't find a mark quickly. and since the decoration looks the same everywhere I think it is probably this belt machined. but I'm not sure either.I am very curious about your opinion and hope you will tell me a bit more about this metal(?) belt.

 

Good looking. Not silver but can’t tell you what the metal is and it’s modern.

 

The clasp is 1980s or later. Pretty belt, probably base metal (non-precious).

 

Same here, except I'd say 1990s or later. Definitely not silver.

The pieces look cast,wouldn't hurt to test them. It will give you a little experience.

You've got the testing kit now, so why not get used to it.

Don't put the acid straight on the metal, or you'll get nasty dark spots.
Rub the metal on the testing stone, and put the liquid on the stripe on the stone.

 

If you have a piece of scrap sterling handy, scratch a line from that next to the other so you'll have a comparison.

 

I havent received the test kit yet. Hopufully it will be delivered tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

 

Definitely do this so you can see what a positive result looks like.
