Parker frontier

I have found several parker pens. This is one of them. Miss the filmindustrie part. Does this pen any collection value?

 

What is the filmindustrie part Hi? Do you mean the cartridge? Could you say it in Dutch?

I'm sure you can get those cartridges.

 

THey still made them as of 20 years ago; I'd bet there are still some around and they may well still be in production. The ink came in little tubes that slid into the bottom of the pen. Screwing the two halves together pushes the top part through the top of the cartridge, allowing ink to flow. It would theoretically be possible to load an empty with ink and screw the top back on if you don't mind making a serious mess if the seal fails.

 

Great find. The Frontier was introduced some twenty years ago, and is still being made (or was until very recently). Yours, with the translucent plastic barrel, is not even that old. You are not missing any parts: this is a cartridge pen, and the cartridge is thus not actually part of the pen. And they are readily available at any stationer (maybe even Walmart) near you. There actually is a generic "converter" for most modern Parker pens which will fit it, but that is an accessory.
I have one I got in 2000, a flighter (i.e. all stainless), which is something of a favorite of mine. They are great writers, and the version with with the steel barrel, super sturdy, but not particularly collectible or valuabe, alas!
