    AJ, of course, you're right!:joyful:
    A crinkled aluminium foil piece, some patches of permanent markers between multi layers of UV curing resin et voilà ;)

    Why don't you start your own jewellery line with kyratized opals? Kyropals Jewellery©?:pompous:

    Haha, KMO trade mark! Kitchen Made Opals :hilarious:

    In fact, I needed something to enhance a belle epoque necklace, silver and pastes, which looked strange :wacky:with this empty center!
    No evidence of lacking setting for anything, but I felt it needed a cabochon:bored:
    As I hate transforming things permanently, the foil trick was the way to force slightly the KMO in place without gluing :joyful:

    AJ is in the right time zone to catch you out first, but having seen before what you can do with aluminum foil, immediately suspected this was also cooked up by the remarkable Ms. K. Fabulous necklace, with & without kyratisation. :kiss::kiss:

    Hi,
    Just want to say I used to cover plain wooden boxes with tin foil and then cover them with yellow shellac they looked like gold plated.

    Old trick from the 60’s. Just add a little tinfoil for good reception ;)

    Now that’s keeping it vintage.:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

    Nice job!

    Off topic: If I understand correctly you are passionate about ancient / vintage (fake) jewelry. I think that collecting true antique jewelry would really be a very expensive hobby. I have some old jewels that I'm not very interested in. I could send you a picture and if you like one of them I would be happy to send it as a Christmas present because you were a very nice person with me and this does not happen often. What do you think about it?

    Grazie mille:kiss:
    Your kind intention is already a great reward:)
