I just picked up a nice piece, but i cant identify the mark. Maybe someone could help me

    Here is the piece. I fell truly in love with it. Sadly i could identify the mark. First i assumed it somekind of german mark, but couldnt find anything. From the person i bought it he said this piece should be about 100 years old, but i doubt that statement.

    Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

    Tried inverting it and heightening it....sure looks like there's writing, but I couldn't bring it out! ALSO, looks like there's a FAINT 'stamp' in the middle as well.....Other mark is below.....
