    Super LOVE the gorilla evelyb

Ugh wood paneling. She has painted it an off white in every other room which helps somewhat.

I remember her being super excited about that taped bed... found at a local antiques store in mid 80s & paid $250. Badly pitted, finally wore through even though no one sleeps in that bed. Garden bound and left to rust for sure.

Great finds, Bear, I love those miniature vases. Striking. I went thrifting due to bad flea market weather....found this for a dollar. I think it may be unmarked 800 silver.

The other I found sold for over $250....I haven't seen a double-sided one like mine.

The one you found on the Internet looks like mine. Double-chained with roses on it. It's double-sided and signed and yes it's .800. Paid $6 in a thrift that no longer exists. It didn't even hit the store shelf; I said "I want that" before it even clinked on the glass.(LOL)

Yeah, mine is a keeper. It was hanging with a bunch of plastic rosaries. There was a bag of religious medals, and I found a sterling one for 50 cents. I can't believe what people miss. These guys loupe everything...I guess if there are no marks, they put it out.

At one charity thrift, they mark anything they think is good sky high. (Sajen TV shopping channel pieces are a case in point...ecch) Then they sold me a 14k and ruby ring for $40, even knowing it was gold. Can't say I'm complaining! Flipped it for a lot more.

I cleared a mans house last week, he ran a Himalayan travel agents from home.

Among his normal furnishings and belongings were lots of Nepalese, Tibetan items he had been selling.
Crates upon crates of the stuff.

I recovered thousands of silk Pashmine scarves and shawls, hundreds of Hemp bags, purses and spectacle cases.

Lots of Lokta paper products, (these had got damp so they were dumped).

Boxed green and black and Lemongrass tea.

    At least 10,000 incense sticks

Wrapped in a silk scarf I found these chunky Sterling bracelets and necklace fobs.
    A bonus :D

Davey never has to buy another cuppa for as long as he lives! Or a pashmina. If all else fails, stitch 'em together for a nice blanket for the bed. Not sure what to do with the incense besides unload it on someone else.

A nice group I got from a local scrapper today :)

Sterling man's ring with a chrysoprase scarab; 800 silver pin with a nice portrait; Art Nouveau sterling and enamel pin; sterling ring made of 3 interlocking bands and a sterling, onyx and marcasite bracelet.

Launched in 1924, Cartier's Trinity ring has inspired a collection of intertwined jewels and remained one of the classic jewellery designs... The three bands depict fidelity, friendship and love, which has made Trinity an enduring symbol of relationships

    any marks on the ring?

I was about to call dibs on that, but you got in first. (LOL) The amber beads have a clasp that's given up the ghost. I'd be cheerfully restringing them if I found them.

@Marko I've a cross and chain like yours if I can find it.

Davey, the pashminas may be acrylic, but they'll car boot very well.

The traditional Cartier Trinity Ring is three colors of gold -- white, yellow and rose.

these are silk, they were bought for £29.35 each trade price, I don't know how much he was retailing them for but there is a lot of money's worth.

I found a tin of coins with the usual holiday money in from travels overseas, Euro's, US Quarters & Dimes.

Then I found some older Victorian silver coins.

Then this Kiau Chau (China) German occupation 10 cents, quite scarce and worth around $1000.
Its had some adhesive on one side so will need an acetone bath.
