    So much for weight in gold valuation...

    very good price. and I'm happy for you. you'd never receive that much in Europe. I mean outside ebay.

    You right not my listing. I sent my coin to NGC for grading. Won't get it back until next week.
    However you are wrong again about price sold. I contacted dealer who sold this coin, he is in New York as well and price accepted was $8500.
    Either way your original valuation was completely wrong.

    NGC says it's not worth that much and rarely does anyone ever pay as high as NGC values

    It all depends what grade it gets., the one sold appears to have been MS64, it is hard to tell from pictures but the OP's coin looked more EF to me. Maybe we will find out next week.

    So the coin was graded AU55 wich translates to roughly $3500. Way better than melt price of around $1250.

    Here in the UK I would grade it as AU "About Uncirculated". (My opinion only)

    It seems I was bang on the money     :cool:
