Hello I’m not sure if I’m posting this in the right category I recently ran across and purchased this large alabaster bowl of three rams heads forming a circle, it is unsigned. It measures 15 x 13 that’s measuring from the ramsheads across and the bowl to the one other Ramshead , just looking for someone to point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance for any information take care. 29E14F99-BF1F-4956-82E7-7DAD33141A79.jpeg

I love figural Rams heads! Hard to say a lot from the one photo. It doesn’t look too old based on that photo.

Cool looking bowl. Personally I would have thought marble.

It is gorgeous, Garydh. It is Indian marble, probably made by a company called Rameshwaram Marble. It is recently made, but good quality.
Yes, that is probably by the same company, also beautiful.
I think the animal looks more like an ibex though.

Rameshwaram Marble is in Udaipur, Rajasthan, NW India. Rajasthan is a major crafts state.
I don't know if they still make these bowls, but you can take a look on the site:

It’s not marble it’s alabaster I don’t know if it means anything but if you put a light under it you can see The light
