    To put this back on track - I decided against trying to clean it because the little chip was not a good sign of the paint's stability & listed it on eBay for $1,995obo with mention of need to be cleaned & chip missing.
    And I accepted an offer of $1,500 for it today!
    I'm happy with it and wanted to thank everyone for the information - and the smiles!

    Congrats on the sale, that is a nice one! I don’t use eBay much anymore, since they changed their 1099 limit.
