Unsual Borneo Pottery Water Jug

    hi guys,so i have this beautiful water jug.It has pattern of Erau Dragon,Erau is a mythical dragon from the Kutai region of Kalimantan/Borneo.the past owner think this is an antique but i think this is just vintage of 20th century,so have anyone here ever seen this kind of jug?and what do you think about this jug,is it old or just vintage?or anyone have more information about this kind of pottery are welcome,thank you

    Gorgeous!
    I don't know this particular type, but I think you're right, 20th century. I can see influence of the Kalimantan love of Martaban, maybe by one of the last Chinese Martaban potters?
    And judging from the sheen on the glaze maybe 60s?

    yes that's what i'm thinking,i think this is come from mid 20th century.beatiful jug with ethnic pattern.You're right kalimantan is the "home" of martaban in indonesia,since the dayak tribe loves the martaban,thats why singkawang has made its name in pottery!
