Please see attached photo's. I have zero idea on what this doll is, age, etc.

It looks as if there would have been something in his right hand as there are stitches but nothing with it when I got it.

Any/all assistance would be greatly appreciated!

    A puzzle for sure.

Home project. Face appears to be papier mache (cardboard).

    No clue as to representation.

But I will say my first thought...... could be the start of a puppet?

I was wondering if it is ceramic?

Not what I can see. Looks like mache head and cloth body.

It would be helpful if you posted better quality photographs. Plain background, no heavy shadow. Front and back. Provide height, material. Any marks. Dressed and undressed, if you can. I suspect he's a Mexican serape vendor but impossible to tell.

That would explain the stitches in his right hand.

The face is kind of like terracotta the best I can explain it. It's definitely not
papier-mâché. The clothes are stitched together/on the body. I didn't want to totally disassemble him.
I will work on better photo's Apologize, picked up during lunch and stumped everyone here so thought I'd grab a couple of pictures really quick.

No, of course. He shouldn't be undressed if not easy to do.

@Any Jewelry.....you were closer to what it's made of than I was.

I only saw papier mache...........never a hard substance. But, now that Stacy says Terracota, I can believe that!

It won't really matter what the body looks like on this doll.
