Greco Persian?? Paper knifes??

    How big are they? Do the blades have points, or are they cut off like on the photos?
    Could we get a better view of the hilts?

    Greco-Persian would mean Alexander the Great and the Seleucid Empire, some 2300 yrs ago, give or take.:) I don't think they used paper knives back then.

    With just these (incomplete) photos they look like nice Turkish or Persian souvenirs, possibly early to mid-20th century. Could be from further east, Pakistan and neighbours.
    More photos means more information for us and for you. But I don't think we can stretch the time frame to the period of the Seleucid Empire.;)

    So, could someone please clue me in.....I understand you're talking decorative, but "paper knives made of brass" ?????? I AM LOST WITH THIS TERMINOLOGY!!!!!!

    Paper knives were originally knives to cut pages that weren't properly cut.
    You kow how you can find that sometimes in older books, folded paper instead of two separate pages, and you can't read what is in between? That is what they were used for, to cut through the fold and separate the pages.:)
