I don't want to disturb the party. I observed on the Mediterrean beaches especially in Italy quite a lot of little grains in the sand 3 to 5 mllimeters diameter that look the same as this bottle in color. could it be that after 2000 years ++ of Roman and Greek a.o. glass being thrown into the sea, the bottles were so abrased that they colapsed and disintegrated completely ?

Took a couple more shots, when wet to see it without the clouding

Still think it's a very odd colour glass even if it wasn't originally this colour

Seams along both sides are a big indicator of age. If you look at the top of the bottle has seam lines it is relatively modern. Is the bottle round or symmetrical or is it uneven? ( stick your finger in the opening, place the bottom up so the bottle is vertical, and spin it.) Look closely at the outside of the bottle, is it smooth like today's bottles or is it lumpy or wavey, you can use your sense of touch as well.
The next indicator is the bottom of the bottle Look for a pontil. Well here is a site that explains it better than I can without pictures.
