Featured Advertisement dating

Recently won a lot with several hundred postcards, bunch of old photo’s and this, lots of advertisement cards. Various sizes, most with writing on the back, some blank.
Here are just a few as they appear to all be of similar age. Little child serving alcohol? And that second card ? What an ugly baby(What where they thinking . Last two photo is also front and back.

are these late 1800’s as they do remind me of some Currier & Ives lithos, or later say mid 20th. I am clueless.

Sorry, not sure I understand. Are you saying these might be reproductions? Never really thought about that. Possible. Most of the postcards are postmarked 1907ish. So that kind of lead me hoping these are older.

who would reproduce such an ugly baby. What wrong with these people.

 

I think these type of cards were left in cereals boxes or other products as from some of the writings on back

 

You wrote that you thought they were mid 20th. I assumed you meant century. The imagery is not of that era so I thought perhaps you meant they were reproductions of older cards printed then.

Given most appear to be trade cards, you should be able to establish a fairly accurate date range from the information on their backs.

Yes, appears publisher owned imagery and customized cards. Imagery may have something to do with high infant mortality rate at the end of the 1880s/1890s. 200/150 deaths per 1,000 live births. Had to be heartbreaking.
