    Sorry I'm so late to the party. Staffordshire figures are the only thing I really know about haha.

    These are figures from the Kent factory. Very late in the time line of Staffordshire figures so early 20th century for sure.

    Alot of Kent figures are dismissed and seen as fakes but they did make some creative and charming pieces. This parrot which is one of a pair is such a figure that people have come to appreciate.

    'Bright gilding' like that which reflects is not present on any of the old Staffordshire figures. With experience it is most often the look of the green and brown that give away a later Kent figure, likely sponged on rather than say Thomas Parr whose bases were haindpainted with a brush.

    Here's a link from a very well respected dealer of Staffordshire figures. They attributed it to 1900 which seems correct. Interestingly this dealers figure has what is called 'best gold' gilding. I think its impossible to know when they switched over.
