I've taken the liberty of reposting your photograph as a Full Image so it's easier for everyone can see.

    Hi bmcc!

    Welcome to Antiquers...........

I'm only replying because of no other replies other than Debora to help with your photos.

This is called a Gone with the Wind lamp. I can't tell if yours was originally an oil lamp, or rather it's a later electric model.

Does the brass font lift out? Or did it ever?

Can you tell if it's been electrified from an original?

If you search GWTW lamp, you will find many examples........original and later electrics.

The Globe is very expensive to replace, and then you would have to choose one that would be the closest match to your base. So take extra care with it.

I think @Ghopper1924 might be able to help you.

    Perhaps @verybrad also.

Nice 1890s oil lamp that's been electrified, which brings down the value. Pretty hand-painted flowers. No idea where you are, so almost impossible to pin down a value. In my part of the U.S. Midwest I'd expect to see it sell at auction for around $50.00.

    It's hard to believe today's price.......but I do.

You would have to pay much more for a replacement globe.....which would never match.

    Thanks @Ghopper1924 for your imput.

1890's to 1910 is a good estimate. Too bad it was electrified the way it was. No real way to convert it back, which is what I usually do. $50 sounds about right for my area as well.

Pieces separate would bring more than the lamp as a whole. Seems funny I know, but that's the way it works these days.
