Featured Asian Demitasse Cup & Saucer

    The 1st set
    The Demitasse Cup is about 2 inch High & 2 inch in Diameter
    The saucer is about 4.25 inch in diameter
    They are gilded with many Asian men Painted on them

    The 2nd set
    The Demitasse Cup is about 2.25 inch High & 2 inch in Diameter
    The saucer is about 4.25 inch in diameter
    They are gilded with many Asian Women Painted on them

    They are Japanese, are they porcelain or pottery? If pottery they are satsuma ware, the first mark says Nagata Zo (made by Nagata). The larger mark isn't very clear, if you can post a clearer pic I might be able to help on that one as well (It's upside down in your pic as well).

    The second is translucent so not Satsuma. Possibly Kutani porcelain. It’s not the standard Kutani mark

    Those are the Nagata ones, I meant the other one.

    Certainly a possibility, or given the mark it may be Yokohama-etsuke.

    Japan Yokohama on the right, so it will be Yokohama painted ware Yokohama-etsuke (porcelain). I can only make out two of the characters on the left, 2nd is mura, and 4th is zo (made). Will look again tomorrow.
