This pattern, Wallace's 'Antique Baroque', was made in China for Wallace, at the time it was introduced, Wallace was part of the Syratech conglomerate, and now part of Lifetime Brands, really just a company that holds the name and patterns, like most of the large old American silver manufacturers. It was giftware, a regular set of flatware place settings wasn't produced, just serving pieces, and you should be able to find quite a few gift-boxed sets, or individually boxed pieces available online. Your piece is a variant of the pattern, a quick search didn't find another example, and it may or may not have been produced for Wallace (I know the pattern was introduced somewhere around 2000, but no idea of the actual years of production) - Chinese manufacturers are notorious for theft of intellectual property. Frankly, not worth it to me to put any more effort into it, it's not really of collector interest and has no great value - but wish you luck in any further research...

    Cheryl,

I'm not trying to a pain, but I am new to this stuff and learning. I must ask: Why the differences? Why no holes? Why no Hallmarks or 'Wallace'

Because it is a silverplate variant of a known silver pattern, not old, and made in China?

The Chinese are notorious for copying anything and everything , but doing so without the details , hence, the reason it is probably not marked . Like things made in Japan , India , and Taiwan in the past , they all varied in quality and detail .... everything from copies of Matchbox Lesney toys to camera's and guns.....same could be said for the former Soviet Union and East Germany . Some are good , some are fantastic, some are downright horrible ( My set of 1970's India wrenches, yet they still function and haven't broke ! .....but I have bent a few ! )
