Featured 14k gold little pins identical

    These 2 pins are exactly alike but only one is marked 14k. Is it possible they had a chain on them or something ? Any ideas on age or what they where used for ?

    Lingerie pins. Circa 1900. Often the only mark is on the clasp and poorly struck.

    Very pretty, Billy. The date is more towards 1910, I think, but absolutely antique, and 100% original, with period lever clasps.

    I know them as "beauty pins". They are/were often used to fasten the back of heirloom baby garments such as christening gowns, which were made without buttons or buttonholes. Women also used them to secure lace, veils, cuffs, hats, etc. (@terry5732 : The term lingerie pins is new to me, thanks for the info!)

    EDIT: I suppose size matters, LOL. Maybe the smaller ones were for baby.
