Antique Austrian bronze

    I was told that it was a Franz Xaver Bergmann. However, I don’t think that the stamp signature matches.

    Please provide a sharper images of the mark with the light shining from different directions. This will help us get a better idea.

    Though the mark is not clear, the shapes are indicating in the Bergman direction. Also, under the mark is a word, and that is another indication.

    I have intentionally blurred and distorted my additions to help me see what the shapes could be.

    Here is a comparison with a different regional figure on a very similar canoe. Also, note the weak mark. The price of this image may reflect the odd subject combination or bidder scepticism or both.

    Here is a link from Christies auctions that was in 2005. Its the same similar motif that "Roaring20s" posted earlier. What is interesting, is that in the details, they say it is numbered 3605, which is the same number you show in your last picture. Could have been part of a cold painted native american model series made by Bergmann back then ?
