Featured Dragon's Breath and Aurora Borealis Brooch

I believe this might be a dragon's breath brooch. What do you think? I assume 50s-60s? It has a purplish flash across the yellow glass; pretty difficult to see in these photos. The stone's back is hidden by the bezel. It has a safety clasp, but it looks like the brooch has some age to it.

 

It's not what I think of as dragon's breath. Really nice, though.

It might well be, but it looks ...odd. Yellow dragon's breath isn't generally this opaque and I've never seen it with a closed back. That said, 60s jewelers did some weird stuff.

 

Putting my twopence worth in, I did a quick search and fluked a photo of a brooch with a similar stone called gold jasper. I didn't know there was any such thing but it has pretty much the same custardy colour as yours. I'd attach a photo attached but am still figuring out how to make it smaller [grrr!] Other stones not mentioned but likely crystals.
