Dear members of the antiquers forum,

I'm back! And i got some brooches from my grandma! Photos will follow here down below. There are some really interesting pieces you might want to check out! If you know something about these brooches, everything is welcome! There's no brand name on any of the brooches.

Grandma said that this was a big trend after W.O.2. The woman you can see here is queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands.

    Thank you advance! :)

The first one looks Czech, the costume joolies can tell you more about that.
Yes, a lot were made just after WWII. Queen Wilhelmina had been hugely popular during the war, the symbol of hope and strength.
Here is a Wilhelmina rijksdaalder pendant for 7.95 euros:

Yep. Czech on the first one, pre-WWII. The flower I'm not sure of, but that could be Czech too. The marcasite one almost has to be silver, probably 1930s. Beyond that I don't know.

Graag gedaan.:) The costume joolies are right here, you don't have to go anywhere. I'm sure more will check in later.
If you're interested in Wilhelmina coin jewellery, I think I have at least one piece, which you can have for free. If I can find it, that is. I think I also have a coin pin with the Belgian king Leopold.

The flower with the faux opals could well be from the 1960s. The metal has not aged well, making it look older.

We have a photo of only the back of the leaf-shaped one. What is the front like?

Indeed, the metal hasn’t aged well. It needs a bit of cleaning work or repair work. About the leaf-shaped brooch, i will post a picture of the front later this day :)

This brooch was from the mother of my grandmother.

IMG-3509.JPG Sorry for the quality, the blue earrings where from the grandmother of my grandmother. So these are really old!

This brooch was handmade by the grandmother of my grandmother. This explains the stitches on the back. I find it really impressive how this brooch is made. I think it would take ages!

The leaf is painted pot metal - it's worn, but it's allowed. It wasn't supposed to survive more than a year or two. The one with no stones is what often gets called a "basket case" - it used to be painted silver and have lots of rhinestones. Now it's just a framework. I'd call it a "mess with me". The earrings look Victorian, but I'm no expert on pierced earrings.

I agree, the earrings look late 19th century. Real beauties. The blue beads are probably glass, the hooks look like silver.
If your great-great-grandmother (betovergrootmoeder) was Dutch as well, the glass is most likely either German or Bohemian, made into earrings in The Netherlands.

Flower, are those marks at the top of the hooks, where they are bent?

Thank you! Maybe I can find someone who can decorate it. IfI do that I'm sure that the brooch will be ruined haha!

Get the right size stones and some jeweler's glue and have at? It could look pretty neat with shiny stones and that worn metal.
