Help with teapot

    Any ideas? Unique teapot with smaller water reservoir and rosewood handle...

    My guess is that hot water was added at the bottom after serving, for the remainder to be kept warm. Never saw something like that before.

    Agreed, haven't seen anything like his either. Any ideas about hallmark?

    I'm no help for that one. I think this is the mark's orientation. May be a jug and flowers?

    Could we see a photo of the inside of the pot? Perhaps that will yield clues on it's purpose..

    Yeah, I can see that now since the handle is on the side vs. back of spout.
